Dayvah

I was very fortunate last week to be able to spend a couple of hours with darling Dayvah. You might remember her parents, Kylah & Zack, from earlier this month.  As parents, they're naturals! You'd think they'd been looking after this baby for two months, not two weeks!  I've said this before, but I just love new parents. They are so happy, so proud... just beaming with excitement.

Logan Peter

Remember MaryLou and Tom? Well, they had their baby! And what a cutie he is! I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of weeks ago and capturing some lovely images of the little darling.  I couldn't get over how he looked so much older than just 12 days! Congratulations Tom & MaryLou!

Kylah

One word comes to mind when I think about this session. Stunning. I'm awaiting news of the little one's arrival, should be any day now. Best of luck, Kylah and Zack. You will be amazing parents!

On a related note, I booked my first wedding of 2010 this week... with Kylah's cousin!

Dana & Bryce

Dana & Bryce were wed on a lovely day this past October. Well, it was mostly a lovely day.  It poured down buckets of rain, just as we were starting the formal shots in the park.  How's that for luck!

This was only the second wedding I've ever photographed and I can honestly say, it was one of the most stressful days of my life!  It was such a great learning experience.

I had a hard time picking just a handful of shots to show here. I could easily do two or three more posts of my favourites... and I just may do that, too!

A Morning with Meredith

A little while ago, I had the unique opportunity to spend a morning with a very special family.  Tim and Julie are wonderful parents to five year old Meredith, a child with special needs, in my hometown of Cobden, Ontario.  I got to spend an hour or so photographing them as they went about their daily routine.  I love this type of photography. No lights, no backdrops, no "say cheese!". Real photos. Real people. Real memories. Real life.

MaryLou, Tom & Baby

My first maternity photo session! We had a great time. MaryLou and Tom were great sports about being my first models in this genre. I think we created some real awesome images. It's not too hard when you have ridiculously goodlooking people and beautiful old buildings to work with!

This was so much fun and I hope I get to capture more baby bumps in the future!

Katrina, Greg & Abigail

Abigail is Joseph's new crush.  We got to go hang out with her and her mom and dad a couple of weeks ago. She is such a doll and Joseph was totally smitten with her.  Luckily her parents are quite photogenic, too, and we got some great family photos.

Janet, Billy, Jack & Ethan

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of capturing some images for this awesome family.  Jack and Ethan had no shortage of energy... or cuteness. I got the full tour of their beautiful property in the back of the Rhino! It was a great way to spend the afternoon. Enjoy!

The Ottawa Valley

I can't pretend to call myself a world traveller, but I've been privileged to see some pretty wonderful landscapes in the last few years. Here's a tiny peak into why I think the OttawaValley is the most beautiful place I've ever been. No matter how long I've lived elsewhere, I will always call the The Valley "home".

All of these pictures were taken within ten kilometers of the farm where I grew up.

Abby Gail

I got to meet tiny little Abby Gail when she was only a couple of weeks old. Her proud parents are good friends of ours. She was such a perfect model - gave me a few 'awake' shots, then proceeded to sleep right through the whole photo session, no matter what we did with her.

Margot & Family

Precious little Margot Joy underwent open heart surgery in June. Just before her big day, I got together with her mom Stephanie, her brother Jude and her sister Violet to take some photos for a Father's Day present for her dad. I'm happy to say that all reports are positive. Margot's surgery went very well and that she's now thriving.

Dana & Bryce

Dana and Bryce make the sweetest couple. I'm very excited to be photographing their wedding next month. Back in July we did a little engagement photo session at "The Ranch". The setting was beautiful - a romantic forest road to a wildflower filled meadow complete with an antique barn. You almost can't even tell that all of us were being eaten alive by all sorts of insects the whole time!

See you guys in October! Can't wait!

Farmers at Work

When I was home in the Ottawa Valley for the big 150th Cobden Fair, I visited Ed, William and Jack while they were doing chores at the dairy barn. I captured a few frames of some future farmers at work.

I had been there a little while when Jack looked up at me and said, "Hey, how come you're not dirty?". I guess he figured I was missing out on the biggest perk of coming to the barn.

Nicole & Jason

A while back, I got together with my good friends, Nicole and Jason to capture a few stunning images of them in their wedding gear. It's pretty easy to make beautiful photos when the models are so ridiculously goodlooking!

Welcome Rebecca!

I'm delighted to introduce the newest member of our family, and my first niece, Rebecca Susan born August 22nd. She is as cute as they come and a perfect little model!
